Students’ Club of Hospitality is a club which are basically participated by all the BHM students. This club is handled by the BHM student which is under the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Environmental Management. This student club is named as SCOHOST which is the abbreviation of Students’ Club of Hospitality.  

   
SCOHOST is established on 21st January 2004. The main purpose of this club is to provide all the BHM students the chance to engage themselves in the club activities and at the same time enhance their knowledge, experience and skills in the association management. Through this, they will also possess themselves with the skills that are valuable when they truly step out into the field of society. On top of that, the students are given the opportunity to expose themselves in managing a club or associations which can directly enhance their leadership skill.    
All the activities of SCOHOST emphasize on the academic value. The academic value can improve students’ skill and knowledge in term of Hospitality Management. Students can gain the skill and knowledge through the activities, for instance Mocktail Workshop, Fruit Carving Workshop and Professional Grooming Workshop that had done before. All this skill and knowledge are seldom can be gained through lecture. Hence, this is a golden opportunity for them to equip themselves with the skill and knowledge. Furthermore, SCOHOST will also organize activities that can directly generate revenue for the club in order for activity usage such as convocation booth. In addition, there were events organized by the Faculty and University and the events were assisted by SCOHOST to bring the event to a success such as the banquet for VIP and deal with each party of the faculty. 

All the BHM students are compulsory for the membership once they registered as BHM student of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Hence, every BHM students play a crucial role to complete this club and bring this club to a success. We are looking forward to see all of you in our coming project.
